John Cena, Kurt Angle, David Batista and co. are jacks of all trades.

Whether you’re a wrestling fan or not, odds are you’ll be taking in a wrestler’s acting performance sometime in the near future.

Of course, depending on how you look at it, all wrestlers are actors. They’re portraying fictitious personas—not real-life characters, for those who still find it real, dammit—every time they cut a promo on the mic, or spar in the ring.

Still, for whatever reason, wrestlers have gotten a pretty bad rap when it comes to acting; they’re never seen by audiences as actors, but rather as “wrestlers acting.” As if John Cena were any less an actor than John Travolta, or Nick Bockwinkel would be less convincing in a shitty action movie than Nicolas Cage.

Face... off.

Of course, for years, that theory was supported by movies like No Holds Barred. And Suburban Commando. And 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain. And Mr. Nanny.

Okay, so we’ll give you every movie Hulk Hogan ever appeared in. But the truth is, a lot of wrestlers have made a successful leap to acting; whether it’s The Rock showing up in the Fast & Furious franchise, or Batista costarring in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy, wrestlers are proving they can bring it when it comes to other forms of entertainment.

Here are six current or upcoming film/television projects that feature wrestlers thriving outside of the squared circle.

Me Him Her, June 5

Starring: Dolph Ziggler

Writer/director Max Landis is a huge wrestling fan; one only need look as far as his amazing short Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling for proof.

See?

So it’s no surprise that Nick Nemeth (AKA Dolph Ziggler) would pop up in a cameo in this comedy about three millennials going through the daily grind of life.

The film debuted at the Seattle International Film Festival earlier this month, and details about Nemeth’s role remain vague. Our best guess: He plays a standup comedian. And yes, we’re only saying that because of this.

Ballers, June 21

Starring: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

This Sunday marks the debut of this new HBO series that focuses on current and former pro-football stars as they adjust to life off the field. In addition to serving as co-executive producer of the series, Johnson plays the show’s lead character, Spencer Strasmore, a retired athlete who is also romantically involved with an ESPN sideline reporter.

Let's hope it's not Britt McHenry.

Magic Mike XXL, July 1

Starring: Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash made his film debut as Super Shredder in 1991’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze*. No shit. Since then, Nash has appeared in a ton of films including The Punisher, Rock of Ages, and John Wick. But his most popular role was when he played Tarzan in 2012’s Magic Mike. Nash reprises the role of Tarzan (Christ, that sentence is so weird) next month with the release of the film’s much-anticipated sequel. It is much anticipated, right?

Trainwreck, July 17

Starring: John Cena

Way back in the day, Amy Schumer used to date Dolph Ziggler. Like, for real, in real life. Now jump to the middle of next month, when Schumer’s film debuts in theaters worldwide. Though it was produced and directed by Judd Apatow, Schumer both wrote and stars in the film, pretty much as herself. John Cena makes a cameo as one of Schumer’s past boyfriends, which is to say that Cena is playing Ziggler. Mind... blown.

Spectre, November 6

Starring: Dave Batista

Batista (or Dave Bautista, as he is known in real life and outside of the WWE Universe) has traded in his face card as Guardians of the Galaxy’s Drax the Destroyer for a heel turn as Mr. Hinx, a villain in Spectre, the upcoming twenty-fourth James Bond film. Wait a minute... there are seriously twenty-four James Bond films?!? And none of them were pornos? Or Star Wars movies? Or Star Wars-themed pornos? I’m not buying it.

The Epidemic, TBA

Starring: Kurt Angle

Not much is known about this upcoming zombie flick indie, but here’s the synopsis from IMDb: “After a meteor crashes into the Earth's crust causing extreme devastation, an unexplained plague decimates a town's population turning people into zombies.” And Angle plays a character known only as Military General. If it’s even half as good as 2011’s River of Darkness (which also stars Kevin Nash), we are so there.

*Oddly enough, WWE’s recent Money in the Bank winner, Sheamus, will star in next year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 as the rhino baddie Rocksteady. Two Turtles sequels, two wrestlers. You're welcome, Earth.
