  • Selfishness...concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself...seeking or concentrating on ones own... advantage...pleasure...or well being...without regard for others...the root of selfishness is fear...selfishness is a sign of weakness...the selfish person fears to give some of his...time...money...or effort...to others because he is afraid of the consequences that might happen on making such a sacrifice...selfishness isn't a very nice trait...and attracts bad karma...since I've been working my beautiful twelve step program I've become less selfish...my daily meditation has build my self confidence...and I now have more compassion for others πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Everyday as part of my beautiful twelve step program...I work to free myself from my character defects...character defects are things like...selfishness... fear...laziness...anger...impatience...dishonestly...jealousy...manipulation etc...by keeping negatively in my life can lead me straight back to addictive behaviours...overtime by working the program and a daily meditation...it is possible to live a more positive life...which means you live a peaceful life attracting very good karma πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • All humans were born with basic instincts...one of those instincts is the social instinct...we all need a heathy social instinct to live happy productive lives...we need companionship...we need to feel wanted...belong...and accepted...a certain amount of prestige...accepted in society...we need a certain amount of ambition...most of all we need self esteem...if our social instinct is affected hurt or threatened...can lead to low self esteem...resentment...fear...addiction...or depression...since I've been working by beautiful twelve step program...for the first time in my life I have a healthy social instinct...which helps me live a happy productive life πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Resentment is a powerful negative feeling...resentment is the number one offender...it destroys alcoholics and addicts more than anything else...from it stem all spiritual disease...carrying resentment lowers self esteem...thanks to my beautiful twelve step program...i no longer carry any resentment from my past...and I work my program on a daily basis...making sure I don't have resentment against anyone else πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Self esteem reflects a person's overall emotional evaluation of his or her worth...low self esteem becomes a long term problem...it can have a harmful effect on your mental health and your lives...to build self esteem...get motivated...don't be lazy or sloppy...take pride in your personal appearance...hair...makeup...clothes etc...smell nice...practice good posture...exercise...eat a well balanced diet...the food you eat effects the way you feel...take small steps to gain self confidence...face your fears...help others...keep away from toxic people...those who bring you down...learn to love yourself...accept your imperfections...stop comparing yourself to others...identify your talents...everyone is good at something...meditate...a beautiful twelve step program is a fantastic tool to build self esteem πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Addiction and low self esteem go hand in hand...it is not possible to identify one cause of low self esteem...you form your beliefs about yourself over a long period of time...difficult childhood experiences such as bullying...child abuse...difficult family relationships...parents arguing and shouting...hard time at school...can be particularly damaging to self esteem...difficult life events...end of relationships...death of someone close...being unemployed...feeling different...not being able to fit in...relationships with other people...people may feed into your low self esteem...being negative about you...or making you feel you don't live up to their expectations...negative thinking patterns...stress or excessive pressure...being discriminated against for whatever reason...social isolation and loneliness......abuse...or bullying...being gossiped about...trauma...physical...sexual...or psychological abuse...can lead to feelings of low self worth πŸ˜”πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • The classic picture of an alcoholic is a homeless wino... or someone who drinks all the time...and who's life is falling apart...but not all alcoholics fit this mould...some people seem to be just fine while they abuse alcohol...these people are known as functioning alcoholics...you can still be an alcoholic even though you have a great outside life...with a job that pays well...a home...a family...friendships and social bonds...one of the main reasons that alcoholics seek help is because of the pain and embarrassment gets bad enough they can no longer deny their drinking problem needs attention...functional alcoholics don't see they have a problem πŸ˜”πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Theobromine is a chemical found in chocolate...it's very similar to caffeine...theobromine is a drug...and is the reason why chocolate makes you feel good...it's toxic to dogs...but taken moderately for us it has some health benefits...if it's abused it will have negative effects on the body...as an addict I'm addicted to the theobromine in chocolate...I have no control over consumption once I start...i have to have complete abstinence from eating chocolate...i work my beautiful twelve step program on a daily basis...freeing myself from negative emotions...so I no longer need chocolate...or any other substances to make me feel good πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Sexual abuse can come in many forms...forcing of undesired sexual acts by one person to another...touching another person without consent inappropriately...indecent exposure...sexual harassment...stalking etc...sexual abuse can result in long term psychological trauma...leaving the victim with low self esteem...fear...insecurities...sexual problems...can lead to addiction or depression...through out my life there had been times when I had been sexually abused...this had a negative effect on my life...but now thanks to my beautiful twelve step program...it's all been set free...and my daily meditation has also helped heal the psychological damage πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Each of us were born with natural instincts...one of those instincts is the security instinct...we all need to feel secure...to live happy productive lives...we need to feel financially secure...we need to work...a roof over our head...good food...clothing...we need to feel emotionally secure...we need to surround ourselves with people who will love and protect us...not abuse us...once our security instinct is damaged...this can then cause fear...resentment...greed...jealously...pride...and gluttony...these negative emotions can lead to depression or addiction...since I've been working my beautiful twelve step program...the first time in my life I feel completely secure πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • People steal for different reasons...some people may have a disorder...some people steal for necessity...others greed...hatred...ignorance...to feed an addiction...insecure people are more likely to steal...most insecurities stem from childhood...abused children usually become insecure...young children are highly sensitive to other people emotions...partuculary those who are family members...witnessing scenes of verbal or physical violence...has a great negative effect and long lasting consequences...children who experience parental abuse or neglect...not showing a child love and affection...are more likely to show a negative outcomes...such as feeling insecure...which can lead to stealing πŸ˜”πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

  • Marijuana is a drug and can be addictive and harmful...can make you feel confused...anxious...depressed...can effect your mental health...paranoid...panic attacks...it can make you feel demotivated...uninterested in things such as education or work...long term use can effect your ability to learn or concentrate...as with other drugs such as cocaine or heroin you can develop a tolerance to it...this means you need more to get the same effect...drug addiction is a progressive illness...many using harder drugs stated off using marijuana...it will weaken your immune system...increases the risk of nasty bugs infections and disease...if you regularly smoke it with tobacco you're likely to be addicted to nicotine...nicotine is the number one killer around the world...increases the risk of cancer and heart disease and so much more...it's harmful to lungs...it causes premature ageing...it can effect your fertility...if pregnant can be very harmful to unborn baby

  • None of us are perfect...we all have parts of our body we're not happy about...among the many things my beautiful twelve step program has taught me...I've been taught acceptance...by accepting my bodily imperfections...i now have a higher level of self compassion and self esteem...low self esteem and addiction go hand in hand...it was very important that i built self esteem...to build my self esteem...I had to get motivated...not to be lazy or sloppy...take pride in my personal appearance...like to smell nice...practice good posture...exercise...eat a well balanced diet...I had to identify my good points...I had learn to love myself ...my daily meditation also helps me accept my imperfections πŸ˜ƒπŸ™β€

  • Co-dependent relationships signify a degree of unhealthy clinginess...where one person doesn't have self sufficiency...they often make sacrifices for their partners happiness...very often trapped in unhappy or abusive relationships because they're too insecure or fearful to leave...anyone can become co-dependent...children who have had parents who have neglected or abused them emotionally in their teens...are more likely to enter co-dependent relationships...or children who have had alcoholic parents or parents with drug addiction problems...or children who have had a constantly sick parent or mentally ill parent...thanks to my beautiful twelve step Program i do not have co-dependency problems today...once I began to work my program...my fears and insecurities gradually disappeared πŸ˜ƒπŸ™β€

  • The purpose of fear is to keep us alive in danger...but feeling constant fear is a unpleasant negative emotion that can lead to addiction...fear can also be dread...panic...terror...anxiety...worry...phobia...as an addict I can't afford carry such a negative emotion...fear is usually caused from a negative experience in the past...or neglected or abused children grow up having problems with fear...thanks to my beautiful twelve step program I'm able to control most of my fears today...going back to where all my fear began and talking about them helped...my sponsor taught me how to change my thinking about fear...my diet plays a huge part...an unhealthy diet will effect the way you feel...can feel more anxious...too much caffeine too will effect the way you feel...my daily meditation has also helped to free me from fear...meditation is free and has no side effects πŸ˜ƒπŸ™β€
