If you haven’t caught on by now, Ryan Reynolds is one to follow on social media.

The actor adopted a nothing-is-off-limits persona to hype his movie Deadpool, but then he just kept going with it. Now we have a whole new age of Reynolds channeling his foulmouthed comic book antihero as he films Deadpool 2 with Cable actor Josh Brolin, his latest target for trolling.

Here are some of Reynolds’ best social media moments — with likely many more memories yet to be made.

1. How to get back at an ex

When 18-year-old Gabi Dunn went through a bad breakup, she Photoshopped pictures of Reynolds over photos of her ex-boyfriend. Reynolds got wind of it and egged her on for more. “We should Photoshop me over his yearbook picture next. #DontMessWithGabi,” he tweeted.

2. Fan’s cheeky tattoo

The Reynolds name is now immortalized… on some guy’s butt. Twitter user @poolspidey reached out to the Deadpool star and promised to get a tattoo if the actor liked his tweet. Reynolds did, so the user posted a photo of the words “Ryan Reynolds” inked across his rear end. “Oh god. Oh. Dear. God. What have you done!?” Reynolds wrote back in response. “Thankfully, all the letters in my name are silent.”

3. His touching tribute to a special Deadpool fan

In April of last year, Reynolds penned a moving tribute for Connor McGrath, a cancer patient and Deadpool fan who died at the age of 13. Reynolds brought a rough cut of the Marvel movie to McGrath with help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and later wrote about the experience: “We met because he loved Deadpool. In a certain sense he WAS Deadpool. Or, at least everything Deadpool aspires to be; balancing pain, fearlessness, love, and a filthy (filthy!) sense of humor in one body. I wish he could’ve stuck around a lot longer.”

4. His fake feuds with Hugh Jackman

Maybe it’s because Hugh Jackman copped out of the X-Men franchise just as Reynolds wanted to make a Deadpool-Wolverine movie, but the IRL Merc with the Mouth kept baiting the beast on Twitter. Reynolds joked that all the Logan fans at the Beijing premiere were “protesters,” he posted the above video on Jackman’s Instagram, and Jackman, in turn, donned a Reynolds mask.

5. That time he spoofed Kanye West’s SNL tirade

Kanye West was making headlines early last year for an alleged diva rant he made while on the set of Saturday Night Live. So Reynolds decided Yeezy wasn’t gonna have all the fun. Following a fan petition to have Deadpool host SNL, Reynolds got in character and leaked audio of himself spoofing West’s alleged rant,

6. His Deadpool awards campaign

Oscar hopes for Deadpool were dashed when the film, which had earned two Golden Globe nominations, received none from the Academy. Yet, Reynolds and 20th Century Fox made light of it all on social media, reminding Oscar voters Deadpool would make a great recipient of a hypothetical “Participant Ribbon.”

7. Halloween antics

Remember, tonight we set our clocks back 34 years. #happyhalloween

What good is having a Deadpool costume if you don’t get to whip it out whenever you damn well please? Reynolds pulled his signature red number out for Halloween so he could make an initiation video with a group of kids dressed as various X-Men characters.

8. Meeting kids on the set of Deadpool

Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile... and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed. Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants. Huge thanks to @makeawishamerica

The Merc’s heart is as big as his mouth. Reynolds welcomed many kids, some through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to the set of his R-rated superhero extravaganza. One of them was young Tony Acevedo, who had Hodgkin’s Disease. The little tyke donned the mask and gloves in photos Reynolds posted to Instagram.

9. Deadpool‘s viral promo campaign

Deadpool is famous for breaking that fourth wall, and the comic book character did it again for the traditional promos for the film. It’s hard to choose just one shenanigan out of the many, many ads and viral stunts that aired for Deadpool, but the Viagra-esque ad Reynolds posted to Twitter, that time he taught men about testicular cancer, the middle finger he gave Wolverine, and the special yule log rank among his best.
