If your song is called "Elevator Operator," then why not make that the focus of your video? Courtney Barnett does just that. Dressed in a maroon bellhop uniform, the Aussie rocker not only runs the lift but also encountered a series of hilarious characters. The Sunny Leung-directed video puts the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Magda Szubanski of Kath & Kim, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, The Drones, Tim Rogers and Paul Kelly in her elevator operator world. Despite the obstacles she faces in order to get her job done, Courtney finally makes her way to the roof of the Nicholas Building in Melbourne, where she meets up with her band to do what she does best: rock her face off.
