The two singers combined forces for 'Hairspray Live!'.

Last night (December 7), the '80s musical, Hairspray, was given the 2016 reboot with a live televised version of the production on NBC — sending musical theater fanatics into a tizzy. And while it's not the first time we've seen a musical staged in this way before (Remember Grease Live!), Hairspray Live! brought two vocal powerhouses together: Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande. J-Hud, who played Motormouth Maybellle, and Ariana, who took on the role of good-girl-gone-bad Penny Pingleton, covered "Come So Far." Both dressed in metallic threads and rocking some big 60s hair, this is the duet that everyone, especially those who weren't necessarily into musicals, was waiting for. So of course, they just had to put it at the end during the roll call.

Meanwhile, Jennifer gave viewers the chills when she performed.
