"I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in..."

After people walked out on Amy Schumer's show in Tampa, FL, on Sunday night (October 16), the comic penned a letter, which she delivered at her show in New York City's Madison Garden last night (October 18).

“Dearest Tampa, I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in," she read (via People), "to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?”

She also added, "And Tampa, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster,” she said, adding “Shouldn’t have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster!"

The speech stemmed from the negative response Amy received during her show in Tampa where numerous Donald Trump supporters booed and eventually left her set. And while it could have gotten her down, we give props to Amy for being, well, Amy.
