Joe Jonas’ breakthrough single did feature a huge cake-throwing contest in its music video, but the lyrics weren’t about cakes at all. Joe explained to MTV that the Swedish producers who helped craft this hell of a bop kept mixing up “sex on the beach” with “cake by the ocean.” We’re not sure how that’s phonetically possible, but we’ll have to trust the guy.

Even your grandmother knows the hand-gestures required for this one, but does she also know it’s about gay sex? The quintessential disco banger was dedicated to the wonders of Young Men's Christian Association, which provided many opportunities for joyful cruising. As if the song’s message wasn’t obvious enough, it was featured on the band’s album called… Cruisin’.
