Both funny women would co-star in the film as sisters.
Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are co-writing a comedic screenplay. "We're almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We've got about 100 pages right now," Lawrence says to The New York Times.
Jennifer and Amy became fast friends shortly after this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Jennifer told MTV that she would pay to see Amy on The Bachelorette, which had Amy floored that the Hunger Games star actually knows who she is.
The two of them are also working with Amy's sister Kim Camarele, who associate-produced Amy's debut film Trainwreck and is a writer-producer on Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer.
The screenplay has Jennifer and Amy playing sisters. This is promising, as some of Trainwreck's most touching scenes were between Amy and her sister, played by Brie Larson, while based on her real-life relationship with Kim.
“I emailed [Amy] after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,’” Jennifer says. “We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”
Needless to say, we can't wait to see this final product.
