In honor of Thanksgiving, we're sharing all the things we're grateful for this year.

2015 has been filled with some major events. From the return of a beloved television show to new music from a number of artists who we were worried would never release anything again, this year has a helluva lot to be thankful for. So we recount our Top 8 moments that made 2015 great.

Hello! Adele Brings Us 25!

It feels like ages since we've heard the greatness that is Adele. After releasing her smash hit album, 21, the London songstress left the spotlight to be a mom to her son, Angelo, and just live her life. But like all great artists, she couldn't be away from music for too long, and soon she was in the studio penning heart-wrenching tunes that will surely make the toughest guys tear up. And on Novemeber 20, our prayers were answered, and Adele drops 25—a record that reminds of why we should move away from the singles mentality and go back to listening to the full album.

The Return of Blur

In the '90s, Blur was one of the bands that defined our idea of Britpop and indie music as a whole. And although the band did a number of one-off gigs here and there, it didn't seem like Stephen Street, Graham Coxon, Damon Albarn and Alex James would actually consider dropping a full-fledged album. And then a few days off in Hong Kong, the guys got back into the studio and came up with what would be come their comeback album, The Magic Whip. Soon as word got out that Blur was coming back, fans from all over the world were ecstatic to relive their younger selves and introduce the younger generations to some good rock music.

Gilmore Girls Will be Gracing the Small Screen Again

In 2007, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore said goodbye to each other for the last time at Luke's, which meant our beloved show was officially over. But in 2015, rumors circulated about a possible Gilmore Girls' comeback. And in October, Netflix officially announced that it will be reviving the series, which will bring the whole gang back to Stars Hollow for a number of episodes. Least to say, we are more than excited to tune in and find out if Lorelai and Luke really do make their relationship last. If you need a reminder of how that all ended, watch below.

Justin Bieber Finds His Purpose

If you asked us about Justin Bieber a year ago, we would have told you that he was well on his way toward a VH1 Behind the Music special. With all his ridiculous and, at times, offensive antics, Justin was on a one-way ticket to HasBeenVille. However, after getting roasted on Comedy Central earlier this year, Justin not only showed his humorous side but also that he's turning over a new leaf. And he further proves that with his comeback album, Purpose. With tracks like "Sorry," "Love Yourself" and his collaboration with Jack Ü, "Where Are Ü Now," Justin is back to making some good pop music. No matter how you feel about him as a person, you can't deny that this kid's got the chops for the pop sounds.

That "Hotline Bling" Video

Drake's "Hotline Bling" spread like wildfire when it dropped at the end of July. While everyone was doing their own covers of the track itself, the track went to another level when Drizzy dropped the video for it. While there isn't much of a story line to the visual, Drake's dance moves stole the show and opened the door to some new moves at the clubs. Don't act like you didn't do the dance when this track came on.

Straight Outta Compton Premieres

If there's one important movie to drop this year, it was Straight Outta Compton. Sure, it may just look like another hip-hop biopic. However the story of N.W.A. back in the 90s easily reflects the current racial and political climate we're facing today. With the Black Lives Matter Movement in full force and the fight for more racial equality, Straight Outta Compton was a strong reflection of how music can be a powerful tool in the face of adversity.

Empire. Enough Said.

There are TV shows that have made an impact, and there are shows that have really made an impact. This year, the latter is Empire. Starring Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the show looks at the good, bad and ugly of a musical dynasty, whose kids are some talented artists but with parents that are ready to kill each other. Not only do stars from Alicia Keys to Vivica A. Fox appear on the show, but there's also great new music that are must-listens each week.

Amy Schumer is no Trainwreck

While some people want to keep to the status quo, Amy Schumer takes that idea, chews it up and spits it out. Her unfiltered comedy has not only entertained us but has also become a bit of commentary on how society views the world, especially when it comes to women. She finds the humor in everything while inspiring us to be ourselves.
