The film's star, Michael B. Jordan, calls it the song of the year.

"Tried to make me a pop star and made me a monster," Future raps in "I Serve the Base." That DS2 track refers to the last time the Atlanta rapper made uplifting songs (Miley Cyrus collab "Real and True," the Coldplay-inspired "Blood, Sweat, Tears") before he went full-on Phantom of the Opera with his mixtapes from over the past year: Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights.

So the fact that Future recorded the Creed theme, as in the song for the latest Sylvester Stallone flick, is surprising at first. "Last Breath," produced by Metro Boomin and Ludwig Goransson, even got the pop star treatment last night, when the first trailer to feature the song debuted during The Voice. Yet Future still sounds like himself, his voice creaking as if he is on his death bed from a codeine overdose, Rocky theme sample notwithstanding.

Creed, also starring Michael B. Jordan as the titular boxer, debuts in theaters November 25. Below, watch the new trailer featuring Future's "Last Breath," then hear the song in its entirety.
