Sounds Like

A little folky, a little funky. Three-part vocal harmonies. Lots of instruments. Sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes funny, sometimes in love. Moving around a lot. Fun to watch.

   About Tin Cat
(Some or all videos from TheOpenMic.net)

Tin Cat formed when four singer-songwriters from the San Jose area decided we were tired of singing alone and wanted to be in a band. Now a trio with occasional drums, we play all kinds of acoustic-based music, from alt-country to indie rock, with occasional visits to reggae, blues, and whatever else catches our eye.

In addition to our original material, we bring new sounds to cover songs--a funky sprint through Link Wray's "Fire and Brimstone", or a sweet mandolin-driven take on Talking Heads' "This Must Be the Place". All of it is bound together by vocal harmonies, attention to the groove, and a sense of play--we're here to have fun, and we want you to have fun too.

Hey Tin Cat,

My series "The Open Mic Documentary " has been nominated for a Cable TV Award as the "Best Arts Coverage: Series"!!! I think almost everyone who submitted a show is on there but being nominated for an Award is second only to WINNING the Award! So I'm asking for your vote. Go to my site www. theopenmic. net read the banner and follow the link or go directly here to get the info. www. theopenmic. net/vote. php I'd appreciate your vote. If you would care to spread the word I'd also appreciate that. Voting ends Friday September 5.

Thanks,

Slim

they've asked us all back, and nobody threw anything at the stage.
