Sounds Like
"Possibly one of the most promising new bands...this Middletown, Ohio quintet brings a little bit of everything. Intense vocals...inspired lyrics that are empowering, and a big modern rock sound that will have you addicted after just one listen. July For Kings are ready for the main spotlight, make no mistake about it."

"[Nostalgia] is a reminder of why national labels would be attracted to these guys. It features the band's driving, hard-edged melodic rock with Hedges lyrics that again sparkle'"
-Rick Bird, Cincinnati Post

July For Kings (JFK for short) is a rock band from the Cincinnati Ohio area
comprised of singer/songwriter Joe Hedges, cellist and guitarist T Miller, and
drummer Dan McQuinn. In 2002 July For Kings released their debut album SWIM
on MCA Records. The first single "Normal Life" received airplay on
stations all of the US including 1 most requested on Las Vegas KMBX.
In 2005 July For Kings released the seven-song follow-up Nostalgia showcasing
Hedges' unique songwriting and T Miller's cello work. In its first week Nostalgia
was the 1 most purchased album at CDbaby.com, the largest online retailer of
independent music in the world. This album is still for sale at CDbaby. Please

In 2007 Joe Hedges released his solo debut Curvature, "a cross between Sting's atmospheric Jazz/Rock, The Samples' Folk/Jam/Pop vibe and Radiohead's sonic texturalism."

or joehedges.com to learn more.
* please note we can't put songs from our SWIM album on myspace. sorry! every time we do, we get flagged by Universal (our former parent label) for copyright infringement. even though we own most of the rights to the songs, they own those recordings. yeah, suck-o.

Hey this is Aaron from HellBranch Run . I just wanted to say first of all that I have been listening to you guys for a few years now and love your style and think your music is great. Especially that new song, its where i would like to see commercial music go to soon. I would also like to say I am looking forward to playing with you guys at the House or Crave on october 17th. It will be a honor and a great time. Keep up the good work and we will see you guys the 17th!
It has now been a month since I've seen you. I'm starting to have withdrawal issues. Looking at the schedule, Nov. 15 at the HiFi is right after my birthday. Maybe I'll have to make another trip to Cleveland...although, Cincy would be closer. Who knows when I'll show up. Take care.
You guys are truly amazing. Listening to your music has inspired me, and collectively changed my life. So I wanted to tell you guys thank you, and keep up the great work.
Thank you for being a friend and supporting my show. Today I posted the final episode of my show Imaginary Bitches on my page. Please check it out and tell me what you think about the series!
Thanks for bringing the T Miller Farewell Tour to Cleveland. Good show, OK sound -- all music is Grunge at the Hi-Fi. Nice to hear you and Amy do one, and we will look forward to what you guys do with the Majo.
Totally enjoyed seeing you guys last night at The HiFi. The drive was totally worth it...getting home at 8:30 this morning is another story though (j/k. I stopped and slept for a while). Please tell T that if I don't make it Friday that I wish him all the luck and happiness in the world...that, and that the offer to loan him the 13-yr-old girl still stands (hopefully he'll remember what I'm talking about. ha ha).
