On Sunday May 27th,2007, Dan Daniels and Your No Good Buddies released their second album of original Dan Daniels compositions, entitled "GEEZER ROCK".
From the opening song "Away From You, Back to You" to the final cut "The Rendezvous" it's a rockin', mostly uptempo, slice of musical life, telling stories of love lost and found, of redemption and disasters, of sorrow and joy. The title song "Geezer Rock" , tells of what rock and roll music has meant to the "Baby Boom" generation and how it will help us carry on into the future. "Phantom Woman" is a haunting tale of runaway love, while "The Rebound" tells of the redeeming nature of a new love, rising from the ashes of lost love. "The Flapper and the Devil" tells of the meeting of two dance hall stars in a cajun-flavored setting, while "Winter Blues" ties in the meanest season and a crushing end to a relationship. "Forbidden Love" and "The Flood of "55" are tales of disasters both man made and natural. "Do What You Do", shows the mind of a man who though not having yet met his dream girl, sees her daily as they pass on their way to work. "In My Arms Again", the sole ballad on the disk, is a heartfelt and beautiful, song of loss and longing. And then there is "Sweet Lovin' Woman" featuring the guitar work of the masterful Hal Benoit, on a "Blues" song, that sings the praises of a wonderful woman, but does such a one really exist?

Joined by the Buddies (Dan M., Shawn and Richie) as well as a stellar cast of sidemen, such as Doug Tanner on fiddle and mandolin, Kurt Hansen on mandolin, Jose Ruiz on finger style classical Spanish guitar, and Guy Wallis on almost everything else, including production and engineering, and the afore-mentioned Hal Benoit, this new CD, offers a variety of sounds from rock , to country, to island, to Cajun. Come and listen to GEEZER ROCK and you'll see. It's a must have album. Get it at www.yngb.com or through www.cdbaby.com, www.earbuzz.com and at local record shops in Westfield, Hadley, Amherst, or Northampton, MA. You can sign up for our email list at : ..

About Dan Daniels and Your No Good Buddies

Dan Daniels and Your No Good Buddies (YNGB) is a band with their roots in the past and branches reaching for the future. This group of baby boomers plays their own interpreted brand of "Americana Roots-Rock". They derive their sound from diverse artists such as Willie Nelson, The Band, CCR and The Beatles while adding thought provoking lyrics and a humorous twist to much of their music.

Made up of Dan Daniels (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and songwriter), Dan Margolis, (electric lead guitar and vocals), Shawn Mansfield, (bass and vocals), Kurt Hansen (mandolin and vocals) and Rich Slobody (drums) these seasoned weekend warriors have paid their dues since debuting in June, 2002, performing at clubs and events throughout central New England.

Dan Daniels and Your No Good Buddies don't take themselves too seriously, as you can tell by their name, and from some of their songs such as "I've Been Eatin' Onions" and "Do It While We Can". In addition to their humorous side, the band also delivers powerful, eloquent and emotional tunes that express their message that music can uplift us, move us, make us laugh, and make us cry.br. Now in 2007 the Buddies are releasing their second fully original, 12 song CD entitled GEEZER ROCK, with a new bunch of catchy tunes, memorable hooks and consistently fine playing. Joined by an all-star line up of local musicians, as well as the regular Buddies (Dan M., Shawn and Richie), they are ready to take the step to the next level with two strong albums of original music and a calendar of concerts and club dates. And as 2008 begins this new CD has been chosen by music critic and nightlife guru of the Springfield Republican Donnie Morehouse, as a recipiant of the Live Wire Award as one of the 10 best CD's by local artists in the Western Massachsetts area, an area full of fine musicians and artists.

MPP is the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States. Founded in 1995, MPP works to minimize the harm associated with marijuana -- both the consumption of marijuana and the laws that are intended to prohibit its use. MPP believes that the greatest harm associated with marijuana is prison. To this end, MPP focuses on removing criminal penalties for marijuana use, with a particular emphasis on making marijuana medically available to seriously ill people who have the approval of their doctors. MPP doesn't encourage marijuana use. But our failed marijuana laws cost taxpayers billions of dollars a year, keep police from focusing on real crimes, and fail to keep marijuana away from kids. We believe it's time for a new approach-- taxation and regulation. Sincerely, The Marijuana Policy Project
