"Each of [Wirebird's] 12 tracks
would fit perfectly beneath Zach
Braff's banter in any episode of
Scrubs. The Innocence of Craig's
songwriting and the seasoned
scratch of his voice form a
timeless album." Marquee Magazine
"Craig weaves romanticism and
realism in a harmonious dance in
the songs. One listen to Wirebird

and pickiest indie music fan that
what was medicine's loss is
music's must-listen find." Indie Music Stop
"Craig sounds like Damien Rice
and Cameron McGill combined,
with his own uniqueness and
originality making it all rise above
the rest. Craig's voice is
soothingly scratchy, comforting
and worn like that old pair of

"Craig's arrangements are smart,
spacious. Laced with a vulnerable

"Craig's songs are simple yet
refined in all the right ways.
Effortlessly, they are disarmingly
sincere without sounding contrived

There’s something magnetic about Dan Craig’s music. Often compared to artists like Damien Rice, Ryan Adams, and Josh Ritter, “the innocence of Craig’s songwriting and the seasoned scratch of his voice” give way to the unique, yet reminiscently inviting music that he has become known for in Colorado over the past year. His 2006 release, Wirebird, ranges from subtly introspective to out and out experiential and has been described as “richly woven and literate…tales of people, portraying snapshots of life, begging for headphones.” (playbackstl.com)
Born and raised in Denver, CO, Craig was always attracted to the independent spirit of his hometown. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, he moved back to Colorado balancing medical school with a budding music career. Leaving medical school in January of 2008, Dan has been actively crafting his own songwriting and performing as well as contributing to other local music projects. This spring saw the release of a brand new full-length record, Skin Grows Thin, an “earthy storybook” focused around melodic acoustic arrangements with a backing band and some friends and guests from the growing Denver scene.
Years of experience and a truly diverse array of influences have contributed to a unique brand of music that blends well with a broad variety of other performers. Craig’s lyrics reflect the love of his city and the beauty of Colorado. The passionate and hopeful imagery intermingled with his background in biology and medicine make for a lyrical voice that is totally his own. His songs have a knack for expressing the human condition scientifically without losing the emotional importance of everyday life.
To date, Dan has self-released three full-length records, New Every Morning (2005), Wirebird (2006), and Skin Grows Thin (2008) along with the free EP Many Sparrows (2008). Fast becoming one of the most sought-after songwriters in Colorado, his performing and recording experience and honest, engaging writing style are opening a lot of doors and ears.

I was reading your journal and found this little gem:
"I blamed john common for the miscommunication but found out later that it was my apparently faulty reading of a couple emails (it’s not important, really, who’s fault it was is it?)."
