The Indiana University String Academy commissions him frequently, playing his works all over the United States, France, Argentina, and Japan. He has scored films for Jaron Henrie-McCrea (winner of a Student Academy Award). A solo piano piece, Cuerpo Garrido, won Columbia University's prestigious Bearns Prize in 2006. He conducted AYO in sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall (where his re-compositions won praise from the New York Times and the New Yorker) and at the Kennedy Center, as well as on eight occasions for President Hamid Karzai. Recently named concertmaster of Mexico’s premier orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, he previously served as concertmaster of the OSSLA (Mexico), Orquesta Sinfónica de la UNSJ (Argentina), and the Spokane Symphony.
