I built an app that lets you save where you were via gps coordinates & loads to Google maps to get directions back to where you were.

It is free from Amazon apps (sorry facebook won't let me post the link)
From you phone browser:
1. Use bing.com to search (you get free rewards, if you do) for "Amazon Appstore for Android" (it should be top one)
2. search for wherewasi & download
3. ** note: ** you probably still have to download their app plug in but it should prompt for that.
