Rat Race to Nod - SuperEminent FUn times... I miss the stage. I loved performing this song, because the band would be in harmony with one another, and the organicness would overtake my existence and the vocals would just flow... A lot of people thought this song was about a girl, or had something to do with the relationship I was in at the time,but in reality, it was about addiction, and its consumption of my life, and its effect on those around me (more importantly, my kids lives). It was a cycle that I just couldn't break at the time. I would wake up every day and say... "I'm just gonna stay sober today, clear my head" but, as you that have dealt with addiction know, that thought is always beautiful for about twenty-seven minutes, if that... It felt like I was trapped in hell, and with that feeling, came the birth of this song. Enjoy... or not I don't give AF...
