Funny thing
This is the first 4th of July Independence Day I spent watching Fireworks with my consciencous Son. At age 3 he was smiling and neaming at the fire works, telling each xolour and later saying "its sonic. sonic boom" because Daddy told him the real loud ones were sonic booms. Naturally, William instantly thinks of Sonic... The Hedgehog.
Anyway. THIS is tje first year I reallly thoght about the fireworks. First thought: music should play during fireworks. and either start or end w the National Anthem. they could make a mix of the American Patriotic songs. Including Firework by Katy Perry. Aaron Carter's America AO. etc etc etc.
This year is the first time I ever spent time trying to tell my child a bit about why we do this firework watching and letting off ritually... and! I actually teared up trying to explain about tje reason for Fireworks. So, I know it doesn't change a thing: but Thank you!! to every tropp, every soldier, estedDischarged. For being there. For trying. Dorsnt matter
