Formed at the start of the new Millennium by vocalist/guitarist Mark Randolph, The
Mark Randolph Band were regulars of the Los Angeles music scene, playing their
Soul,Classic Rock and Funk influenced music to a quickly growing fan base.
Drawing upon a kaleidoscope of influences: rock, funk, psychedelia, soul, blues,
experimental and jazz – The Mark Randolph Band creates a body of work
that is unpredictable, vibrantly rich in texture and bursting with ideas. Their
true identity and roots lay in that underlying soulful and bluesy funk combined
and textured with today’s new sounds.
Their self-titled debut album beautifully blends the bands strong sense of groove,
richly layered rhythms and emotional lyrics. Often these surreal, free-spirited
lyrics are laced with deep visual imagery and a sardonic sense of humor
