i won the noble peace prize in 2007

i just won the noble peace prized in Physiology or Medicine along with Mario Capecchi and Oliver Smithies for our work in discovering a way to create a recombination in mice employing embryonic stem cells.

Wow i never would have thought that this year, 1999, i would be able to become the Professor of Mammalian Genetics and Director of the School of Bio-sciences at Cardiff University. Whoa what an achievement. mom will be so proud

i studied zoology, botany and chemistry, but soon dropped zoology and added biochemistry

just found out my mom was a scientist and my dad was able to maintain a mechanical workshop

i was born of January 1, 1941! the day the world got a genius scientist
