JOHN 3:5 "Except ye are born of Water and of the spirit , he cannot inter into the kingdom of God."so you must have the Holy Ghost ,Romans 8;9 "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ , he is NONE OF HIS that is the Holy Ghost
