On December 21, 2020, Ding Jianqiang, a Chinese Pro democracy activist in exile in the United States, died in a Los Angeles hospital infected with the new coronavirus. During the treatment, Ding often used his twitter account "heshanshuo" @ heshanshuo to tweet about his treatment process. After his death, many netizens wrote abusive comments under his tweets.
