We made a traffic light using LEDs and coded the program in Visual Basic. I coded the program while Japheth put the traffic light together. We got the lights to function in the correct time interval like a traffic light and then kept decreasing the time interval.

We coded an alarm clock using Visual Basic. You set the time for the alarm and it tells you to "wake up". We added a snooze/power off button as well.

We were given a rotation sensor to try and code. I coded it similarly to the other sensors and got it to work.

Me and Japheth had a few problems with Visual Basic at first, like the linear gauge. Our three activities after we figured everything out were functional. The temperature sensor displayed the correct temperature. The pententiometer detected movement. Finally, the infrared range finder found the correct distance with a range from 10cm to 75cm. I coded every project and Japheth and me both set the program and sensors up.

The infrared range finder that we built worked perfectly, as we tested it with the distance from the computer monitor. We had some trouble with the coding but Jay took over and found the problems. Great success.

The linear potentiometer in the picture is exactly like the one we used in this project. There were more problems with the linear gauge but we skipped them again and the project turned out completely fine.

This is a picture of a temperature sensor much like the one we used in our project. We had some issues at first finding the linear gauge so we left that part out. We also had to switch to a few computers because some didn't have the right program installed.
