‘Celebrating the Season’ Features the Huston-Tillotson
University Concert Choir
During Austin and Round Rock Performances
(AUSTIN,
Texas) —The Huston-Tillotson University Concert Choir, under the
direction of Dr. Gloria Quinlan, will present their annual Christmas musical,
“Celebrating the Season,” in Austin and Round Rock performances. The
Round Rock performance will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at 6 p.m. at
Sweet Home - The Pinnacle of Praise. The Austin concert will be Sunday,
Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. on the campus in King-Seabrook Chapel.
The
annual holiday concert of traditional carols with combinations of classical,
jazz, and international Christmas favorites, will also showcase the HT Elite
Combo under the direction of Dr. Javier Stuppard, during the campus concert.
Proceeds
from a $15 donation will benefit the music scholarship fund. Admission for
students is $5 with a valid student identification card. Donations only during
the Round Rock concert.

Local radio station 96.3 RnB has offered 25 pairs of FREE tickets to the Friday multi-Grammy® nominated Marsha Ambrosius concert. Great concert outing for you and 49 of your friends. Ambrosius earned her claim to fame as a writer. She penned Michael Jackson’s popular “Butterflies.” She is currently touring with John Legend and returning to Austin for a solo concert. Bridgett C. Lee has been named HT's Director of Alumni Affairs. Lee, who completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from HT in 2010, will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of initiatives associated with the more than 5,000 alumni and chapters around the country. Lee, also an adjunct instructor in HT’s Adult Degree Program, earned a master’s degree in public administration from Texas State in San Marcos.
