Pianist Bruce Boardman has worked with a variety of performers from jazz names such as Terry Lightfoot and George Melly to show business stars like Val Doonican and Roy Castle. His years on the road included international tours, television and radio, recording etc.In the early 1980s Bruce was resident pianist for the first year of Jongleurs Comedy Club in London. He then formed a band which often worked with guest artists including Barney Kessel, Barbara Thompson, Ronnie Scott, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Al Grey, Georgie Fame, Kenny Ball, broadcaster Benny Green etc. For around twenty years Bruce’s band played throughout the U.K. and toured abroad. Since then he has worked as a freelance musician.Not long ago Bruce played for the BBC Two series "Maestro" in a piano duo context to help Blur's bassist Alex James learn conducting.Other more recent appearances include the first St Albans Film Festival, Windsor Festival, National Theatre foyer jazz, Abbots Langley Festival, Bushey Festival, touring with the play “Ifs,
