Panda and Penguin are two important Google algorithm updates that were first released in February 2011 and April 2012.
The Panda update was designed to penalize low-quality sites by
lowering their rankings on Google and return sites with higher-quality
content near the top of the search results.
You can evaluate your website by asking a few questions, such as;
“Does it provide valuable content to your users?”, “Is the bounce rate
high?”, “Is your website stuffed with advertising or low quality content
instead of valuable information about your products and services?”. If
the answers are yes, it might be time for you to take a deep dive and
start building better quality content for your users.
The Penguin update was aimed at decreasing the search engine rankings of websites that violate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines,
such as keyword stuffing, purchasing links, deliberate creation of
duplicate content, over-optimization of anchor text, and more.
What worked before to gain visibility on search engines.
