With such a hit-filled album of empowering anthems, PJKTS is a band to watch.

PJKTS knows how to channel life’s eclectic electricity into danceable sound. That’s quite evident on the group’s self-titled debut full-length (out Friday, February 10), which we’re excited to premiere today on Myspace.

Recorded over two and a half years, PJKTS (also known as Paper Jackets) made 14 synthpop tracks that combine vocalist James Mason’s emotive vocals with EDM and tropical-influenced beats. The album, which was whittled down from 60 or 70 song ideas, features the explosive album opener "Heart Is Yours," the tropical banger "Knife Fight" and the high-flying pop rocker "Chandelier."

"I've always dreamt of recording a full length album. I came pretty close with bands in the past but nothing like this before. For me, the inspiration was being able to create a full body of work that reflected my thoughts, feelings, and emotions while still being hip," says Mason to Myspace.

"At first all of these songs existed in a very stripped down acoustic style. That's were the production came in.Ethan Kaufmann is known for his slick indie rock production. I slowly worked through the songs with Ethan out of Los Angeles three sometimes four at a time until we had the whole thing done. It took about two and a half years to produce but when I look back I think it was for the best considering how many songs didn't make it on this record."
