The post-hardcore quartet knows good music.
What was that defining moment when you knew you were meant to create music and how did you go about it?
Came together over a few of us all quitting our local bands around the same time, and then immediately being in touch and sharing music with each other. There was enough of us into the same music to get on the same page (which seems impossible when you are 19) to start writing songs, and it just went from there.
Tell me about one of the band’s favorite performances.
There's a few! Warped Tour, two Japan tours, and a lot of sold out shows in Europe while supporting awesome bands are probably my favorites.
What's life like for an up-and-coming band?
It's exciting and stressful, for the exact same reasons. Every night is a chance to gain any number of new fans, but some days definitely start to seem a lot longer than others when you're in a random place for nine or 10 months out of a year. We are constantly staying busy, striving to open as many new doors for ourselves as possible by playing an entertaining show.
What's something you've learned in your time together as a band?
It's very important to try and play the exact same show to 10 people as you would to 1000. I think being willing to do that can add an extra sense of pride about what you're doing, so no matter how things end up, you know you really did put all you had into these opportunities. My worst fear is realizing I took any of this for granted, which is why I refuse to play a lazy show.
What's next for you all? Are there any specific goals that you have in mind for the future?
Infinitely more worldwide touring, and maybe a new single before the end of next year. Just connect with people on a bunch of different levels. I want to be someone who can perform and be equal parts relatable as well as entertaining.
If there's one thing you wish everyone on the planet knew about the band or the band’s music, what would it be?
Just to understand that we truly are doing everything we can to be a good band. That we really fucking mean our songs. Playing as many shows as humanly possible has helped grow our name as a hard working band and I'm proud to be this busy.
Is there anything else about the band you’d like to add?
If you haven't checked out our new record, A Reintroduction:, please do!
