Kings of Leon will be releasing Walls, their follow-up to 2013's Mechanical Bull, on October 14. And with numerous albums and sold out tours under their belt, you'd think they're in a comfortable place on the fame spectrum. But according to Betty Ann Murphy — Jared, Caleb and Nathan Followill's mother — they're just not there yet.

"[She'll say] 'You guys need to do this, blah blah blah, I saw Taylor Swift go sign [autographs for fans] for four hours the other night and you guys never do that kind of thing,'" Jared told Q (via NME). "'Why don't you guys go out and sign for four hours? That's why she's the most famous woman in the world.'"

He also added, "She'll always get onto us after a show: 'I couldn't hear Caleb's voice last night at the concert. You need to tell your soundman, he's gotta turn Caleb up!'"

Mother always knows best, right?
