Believe it or not, this was a fitting tribute.
Questlove honored the late Prince during a DJ gig last night (April 21) in Brooklyn. The Roots drummer played rarities, but also Finding Nemo on the venue's TV screens.

Here is why: In 2004, Questlove scored tickets to Prince's Musicology Live 2004ever stop in his native Philadelphia. The problem is, he forgot to request one for himself. Prince allows Questlove to get in for free, though in exchange, he has to throw an afterparty. While DJing, he figures that Prince would like hearing Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. Instead, his assistant hands him a Finding Nemo DVD, saying, "You can cut the music off."
"I was like, 'Wait. Did I just get fired and replaced by a cartoon fish?'" Questlove says. Hear him retell that story below.
