The best cosplayers tell us about their creative outfits and BlizzCon experience.

Kelly, 26
Hometown: Santa Monica, CA
Who are you cosplaying as: D.Va from Overwatch.
Tell me about your cosplay: I spent maybe a month painting the entire bodysuit in Photoshop from scratch, so I had a basic bodysuit outline and then I just painted in all of the details. A friend told me about a place where you can get your custom fabric printed on spandex, and I thought I can paint a pretty good bodysuit that's actually proportional to me and not something commercially made for a bunch of people. It was a learning process, I had never sewn anything before either and I had to start with spandex.
Total cost of your cosplay: Total for material alone was around $400-$500.
Best part and worst part about your cosplay: Worst thing is my shoulder pads. There's some seams on them that I don't like and didn't have time to redo them. My headphones are also pretty heavy and keep falling off my head. The best thing I think is the bodysuit itself.
Favorite Blizzard game: Definitely Overwatch
Why Blizzcon: I like being able to come somewhere where everyone is guaranteed to at least like something that I like and don't think I'm a crazy weirdo. This year I'm really excited for Sombra, the new Overwatch character. But I'm also looking forward for Blizzard revitalizing the Starcraft 2 scene as an E-Sport.
How much do you think you spent this weekend: Hopefully I don't spend more than I already have. Maybe less than $100?
