The album will drop January 13; listen to "On Hold" right here.
The XX have returned. In advance of the celebrated London electropop group's upcoming LP, they have released the lead single "On Hold."
While it has the same dark energy The XX is known for, this track has a poppier, late night dance feel. The song samples Hall & Oates 1981 hit “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)," according to Pitchfork.
“We know these are uncertain times and we hope the joy & love we found making the record will get out into the world, in however small a way,” said the band in a statement.
I See You is the The XX's third record, following 2009's xx and 2012's Coexist.
