From caped crusaders to dim witted duos, we’d still watch these shows if they were on the air.

You’d think with all of the channels dedicated to cartoons, everything we could possibly want to watch would be available to us. Sadly, this is not the case, as while many networks are content to rerun the same shows over and over again, we’re being denied the ability to watch some of the greatest, and some of the most underrated, cartoons of all-time.

We, obviously, don’t run a television network (if we did, it would probably end up looking something like what Weird Al did in the movie UHF), but here are 8 cartoons from the ‘90s we wish were still on TV.

Darkwing Duck

He is the terror that flaps in the night. He is the winged scourge that pecks at your nightmares. He is Darkwing Duck!

A staple of the Disney Afternoon lineup, Darkwing Duck followed the adventures of a crime fighting hero who, along with his sidekick Launchpad McQuick, continually saved the city of St. Canard from the fiendish plots of F.O.W.L. (Fiendish Organization of World Larceny).

Darkwing Duck was a heck of a personality, and he had enemies who were similarly over the top, such as Steelbeak (who had a steel beak), Bushroot (a scientist who turned himself into a half duck, half plant, creature), Megavolt (a character who gained the power to control electricity through an experiment gone bad), Liquidator (a water based dog who could control all water, and spoke in salesman catch phrases), Quackerjack (a toy maker gone mad, who wore a harlequin style jester costume) and Negaduck (Darkwing’s evil twin from a parallel universe).

Darkwing’s suburban alter-ego Drake Mallard, was a single dad, having an adopted daughter named Gosalyn. There was a single parent theme with quite a few Disney Afternoon cartoons, as TaleSpin, and Goof Troop, also featured single parents as main characters.
