"Closer," the breakout collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Halsey, has been heating up the charts for the past few months. And now, we finally see the song take on another life with its new video.

Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart and Halsey play star-crossed lovers who get hot and heavy at the beginning of the video. However, as many romantic storylines go, the couple hit a snag and eventually breakup. Despite no longer being together, the two do see each other at a party, and the visual ends with a bit of cliffhanger.

Aside from the video, The Chainsmokers have announced their upcoming EP, Collage, which is set to release on November 4.
