¡Ay, caramba! Sofia Vergara's appearing on The Simpsons, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Modern Family star plays Mrs. Berrera, a new teacher at Springfield Elementary who ends up in a love triangle. Problem child Bart develops a crush on Mrs. Berrera, as she is more forgiving toward him than Mrs. Krabappel was. So does Principal Skinner, though, because she, like him, is a war vet. (Skinner fought in Vietnam.)

"We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman," says Al Jean, executive producer. 

Season 27 of The Simpsons premieres September 27; Vergara's episode, "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles,' will appear in the middle.
