It's scary, sure, but those lips...
The new Ghostface mask is here—and it kinda looks like a blow-up doll?
Today, MTV has revealed the first look at the new Ghostface for their Scream TV series: It's stark white, has some kind of weird straps, an agape mouth, and much less cartoony this time around.
“The [original] mask is so iconic. If you were to have that mask in a television series, but you weren’t following any of the characters [from the original], I believe that would be misleading the audience,” executive producer Jaime Paglia told Entertainment Weekly.
Wes Craven, the original creator/director of the Scream franchise, adds that he thinks the new mask is "cool and scary," stating that the new look will take the television series in a new direction, separately from his films. "It also ties into the story, which I won't give away," Craven stated.
