Variety is reporting that actor Will Poulter (who you might recognize as the son from 2013's We're the Millers) is currently in talks to play Pennywise the murderous clown for the remake of Stephen King classic It. The revamped film, which will be presented in two separate movies, will be directed by True Detective director Cary Fukunaga.

The television world was first introduced to Pennywise through the It miniseries that aired on ABC in 1990. Based on the eponymous King novel, It brought us the tale of an inter-dimensional predatory being that preys on young victims' deepest, darkest fears. 

No targeted release date for Fukunaga's It films has been released.
