One Direction visited Ellen this week, and while they were there the shameless host, of course, asked them about Zayn Malik's departure from the band. "Did you know he was going to leave?" she asked. "Do any of you still talk to him?" she asked. And all the while, Harry Style's face looked like the embarrassed/blushing emoji, until he couldn't take it anymore and started cracking up.

"Why are you laughing?" she asked Harry. "Because! You could cut the tension in half," he replied with a chopping motion. Ellen's response? "Well they're just questions!" Watch the full, cringe-worthy exchange below.
