1D go back to where it all began for them.

One Direction returned to the stage that brought them together on Sunday night (November 15) and performed "Perfect," off their recently released Made in the A.M.

The UK singing competition kicked off their careers and launched Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan to stardom five years ago, and it shows just how much they've grown as artists and into some fine young gentlemen. During the performance, the guys wore ribbons to pay homage to those lost during the Paris attacks on November 13.

After their performance, the guys chatted with the show's Melvin Odoom and Rochelle Humes about how they felt about returning to X Factor.

“There is a good sense of home about this place,” Niall explains during the interview. "You just know everyone, the same kind of crew, even the people you're looking at, who you can't see [behind the camera now], all the same sound guys. It really gives you the sense of home. But with that comes extreme nerves."

Liam agrees. "It's still hard to look at the judges panel," he admitted. "You gotta look over it sometimes."
