That dusty old organ at your grandma's house being played in the back of a truck, on an old dirt road, just outside of Memphis, while the radio screams out a song from 1956, on its way to Hitsville, USA.
Wheels On Fire were formed in 2005 and brothers Mike and Matt Chaney are the nucleus of the band. They later brought in keyboard player Susan Musser, singer/guitarist John Garris and bass player JJ Reed. And they started writing songs and playing like every day could be the last of their lives.
Enter Teddy Morgan, the superb guitar player and producer extraordinaire. He took Wheels On Fire into a Nashville studio and something magical happened.
The result is a debut album, simply titled Wheels On Fire, which we here at Rosa Records rank among the best and most exciting debut albums of all time. Wild, energetic and full of great songs with memorable titles like Drinkin From A Broken Glass. Kick The Wicket, Holy Ghost and Cryin Bleedin Dyin.
