The Tyler McCumber Band
The Tyler McCumber Band is a five-piece band consisting of seasoned musicians from south Tx. The lead singer and songwriter, Tyler, has been writing and performing for several years at clubs, festivals, private parties and local functions. The rest of the band consists of Javi Garcia on lead guitar; Savannah McCumber on rythym guitar and harmonies; Eloy Martinez on bass; Doug Aguirre on drums and percussion; and Fiddlin’ Chisum Mills on fiddle, mandolin, keyboards and harmonicas as well as background harmonies. Between them they have over 80 years of onstage performing experience in all different genres of music. They are a high energy act that loves connecting with the audience. With influences ranging from Thin Lizzy, Budgie, April Wine, Black Sabbath to Al Barlow, Johnny Horton, Hagg, the Big Joe Polka Show.
Their new CD, recorded and produced by Mike McClure at Dirtybird Recording Studio in Norman OK, (engineered by Travis Linville and mixed and mastered by Joe Hardey @ Casa de Joe, Houston, TX.) is set for release on November 15, 2006 and is sure to be received well as it went to 3 on the RootsMusicReport ( on internet, xm satellite radio and terrestrial radio stations) in 3 weeks strictly by word of mouth from a few demos given out. The word that these guys are "it" is quickly spreading.

--------------TOSSM radio's cd review!!---
One of my favorite CD..s of 2006. A new Band to hit the Texas Red Dirt Scene ..The Tyler McCumber Band.. This project was produced by Mike McClure, Engineered by Travis Linville and recorded at The Dirtybird recording studio in Norman, OK. The CD is titled ..Catch Me.. and features 10 tracks from Country to Southern Rock. A lot of people say Tyler McCumber sounds like Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) with a country twist. All ten songs off this CD ..ROCK.., and All could be a hit. Watch out Texas & Oklahoma this band is going to hit you like a Texas Tornado.
