Les cinq membres du groupe acadien Trans Akadi sont tous originaires de la péninsule Acadienne: Serge Basque alias "Baskus" à la guitare électrique, Hubert Cormier alias "Hubee" à la guitare acoustique, Jocelyn Godin alias "Joce"au violon et à la mandoline, Frédéric Lanteigne alias "Fred" à la batterie et François Losier alias "Franky" à la basse. Leur passion pour la musique les amène à former le groupe en 1995. Trans Akadi est d’inspiration folklorique mais, il offre des créations originales à travers une sonorité folk rock et parfois même progressive. Bref, un son explosif qui s’apprête parfaitement aux rendez-vous champêtres ! D’autres part, bien que rythmé et entraînant, à travers plusieurs de ses chansons, Trans Akadi transmet des fondements riches puisés du patrimoine de l’Acadie, autant dans les légendes et l’histoire que dans l’Acadie contemporaine.

Hi there Trans Akadi first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
