A band I was once in was recording a song I wrote and the engineer said it sounded like the Verlaines. I said "cool, I love the Verlaines." He said he didn't. I knew then that this person was not to be trusted. Wanker. Insult me, but do not insult the Verlaines.

love this band. belatedly got the best of--in a word, stunning. it is nice to hear all of those songs in one place and in such high fidelity. thanks for the updates on the new record. . .indie rock reunions are a dime a dozen these days, but this is one i can't wait to hear.
