Our musical influences include bands and artists like, MUSE, Coldplay, U2, Radiohead, but are definitely not limited to those artists. Our range includes influences from Led Zepplin to Miles Davis to DMB. It is almost impossible to narrow our musical influences to a specific genre nor era. Many of us grew up listening to Depeche Mode, Santana, the Doors, etc... Being Latinos plays a huge factor in our creative process. Our musical infuence is definitley stemmed from our culture and ethnic sounds. We don't sit around a room and say lets be different, but rather we put our minds together and create whats in our heart and let our voices be heard.
Other influential artsits include Robi Draco Rosa, Carlos Vives, Alejandro Sanz and our parents. but we can probably come to a conclusion that the true and most influential artist and lyricist of all time Is CHRIST!
Sounds Like
OFTEN TIMES COMPARED TO THE LIKES OF U2, COLDPLAY, RADIOHEAD, AND SOMETHING NEW!

The Saturn Project began in 2001. It formed in the inner city of Chicago from Pilsen to Humboldt Park with Ancient roots stretching from Mexico to the Caribbean. Their history and modern day experiences make their sound truly unique. The bands musical influences stretch beyond the chart from Miles Davis and Radiohead to Robi Draco Rosa and U2. The sound of TSP is one that is evolving from an early experimental stage to a more mature defined sound. The band would go on to play hundreds of shows locally and nationally. Brothers Jesse and Alex would lock themselves a way in room for hours driving the songs in and out, writing for months at a time trying to find a way. These were more intimate songs, songs from the soul, breaking the natural to a more supernatural approach.” We never felt so real creating these songs.” It would be a matter of time before the missing pieces were found.
The band never really had a consistent pianist, but in late 2005 Jesse decided to take on the challenge of conquering the piano the best he could. He would go on to write some of the bands most impacting anthems and songs at that time, from So alive, Time and U turn. This finally marked the beginning of something worth fighting for. The band would hit Chicago’s main rock venues and in time create a buzz.
In 2006 the Chicago Music awards nominated the band, for “best rock entertainer”. In 2008 front man Jesse known as “fuser” would leave Chicago and relocate In Miami. This being a shock to many turned out to be destiny. “Chicago will always be close to my heart, but Miami is where I need to be.” Not knowing that a few months later Alex would leave the road after touring with the band Salvador and relocate to Miami as well. Jesse would also find long sought after guitarist. Brent was a long time friend of 9years. Brent would join the group in 2007. “The band has never felt so right like it has”…In 2008 Jesse Garza ”the pistol” would rejoin the band after relocating to Florida as well. Garza was one of the original-founding members of the project.
The term "The Saturn Project" defines "discovering the simplicity of life". A name created to describe the theme revolving this project. Vibrant electric sounds reminiscent to U2, Drum patterns and syncopation mirrored to the fusion of the police, vocals and harmonies colliding Coldplay and Radiohead. The Saturn Project is a whole new musical experience in itself. Unconfined energy and abstract sounds. You can't help but notice the richness of culture and ancient blood, subliminally shown, a portrait is painted night after night on stage with lyrics and sounds striking the soul. In 2007 Anthems for a broken world was created and had been a project in the making for years, just without a name. “We want to be part of something significant, revolutionary and universe changing.
What if a record came out that wasn’t for self-motives, it wasn’t to be famous or rich but totally for the unifying of people trying to make a difference in this planet. What if this album could rebuild a village, provide education and shelter for children who are not fortunate as our own? What if this album could feed a whole country in Africa? What if this album could save young girls from being trafficked and sold like meat in a butcher shop? What if this record helped migrant workers in other countries to get a fair share on their produce instead of being taken advantage of by huge corporations? What if this album could focus on the earths needs rather then landing on MarsWould you buy that album? Would you get involved? Anthems for a broken world Christmas 2008

We sent out some sexy postcards and phone calls today for our Sexual Revolution series at Life Pointe. I wish we would would have laid down a Barry White soundtrack on our phone calls. That would have been awesome. Oh well.
I know the postcards began hitting mailboxes today when we got a call from someone upset that we were talking about sex in church. She kind of chewed us out pretty well, really well actually. Then, she declared that she hadn't had sex since 1983. I believe her.
Anyway, I want you to bring all of your friends to our Sexual Revolution that begins this Sunday @ 9 and 10.30 AM at Flagship Cinemas in Homestead. You know how it goes. Come in the door, grab a free Starbucks, say hello to some really great people, and grab a seat.
We're kicking off the service with a little ditty by U2, "In the Name of Love." I'll see you there!
First and foremost, thank you again for being our friends. We seriously and sincerely appreciate it more than you know. If you want more of us, you can now buy our brand spanking new album on iTunes. That's it, you still rawk:) And that is a very good thing.
