It's been a tough few months for everyone involved and we got this from Sandrine in the post the other day and it really did make our day. Thank you to everyone who's been supportive, and to Sandrine in particular for the picture!

The Pipettes have two new members, Ani and Anna. We are demoing up 20-25 new songs, with an eye to recording a second album in the Summer. We want to tell you all about them, but we’re very much head-down working on new material at the moment
This means that RiotBecki and Rosay have left to pursue other musical pursuits (which will be brilliant when they emerge), we wish them all the best, we’re all still great friends and news on their pursuits will be closely supported by us.People may be confused by such a drastic change in line-up but please rest assured - if we were to be an imitation of ourselves we would stop. Plus the Pipettes has more members come and go than major labels have A&R men, it's just another day in the office for us (plus we’ve got to go one better than the Sugababes).
We refer you to the manifesto on our website www.thepipettes.com for a more in depth explanation on the functioning of the band; this was the natural step to take. For a more in depth series of answers, we direct you to the prepared video here:
Thanks for all the continued support over this period and we’re incredibly excited to be working toward bringing you a new album that will be unlike anything we (or anyone else) have ever done. We will also have limited edition novelty tee-shirts on sale soon, keep an eye out for them and join the growing thousands who can now claim to be ‘ex-Pipettes.’
The wait is over! The Pipettes North American debut LP is in stores now! The album has been re-mixed by producer Greg Well's and features two new tracks exclusive to the release - 'Dance and Boogie' and 'Baby Just Be Yourself'.
The Pipettes brand new North American EP - 'Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me' is available in stores now! The EP features the fabulous title track 'Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me' and accompanying video, 'I Love You', along with 'Really That Bad ' and 'Guess Who Ran Off With The Milkman?'
Polka-dot Princesses The Pipettes – RiotBecki, Rosay, and Gwenno, accompanied by their backing band The Cassette – announce the release of their eagerly awaited North American full-length debut We Are The Pipettes, out October 2nd on Cherrytree/Interscope. For the North American release, the band tapped the talents of producer Greg Wells (Mika, Rufus Wainwright) to mix the entire album as well as record two new tracks exclusive to this release – “Dance and Boogie,” and “Baby, Just Be Yourself.” With a clever nod to the spotless pop of Phil Spector and The Supremes, these Brighton–bred Pipettes have created a witty and smart 16-track album that fuses girl-pop reminiscent of the Shangri-La’s with the fierce and focused musical prowess that is 100% their own.
“THE PIPETTES—fronted by a trio of dancing, polka-dotted young British babes…prove that sugary pop about good girls and bad boys has no expiration date.” – Blender
We Are The Pipettes features The Pipettes’ smash hits “Pull Shapes,” “Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me,” and “Dirty Mind,” and is the follow up to their EP Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me (Cherrytree/Interscope) – released June 5th 2007. The EP came on the heels of a string of highly successful shows with the likes of Sleater Kinney, Maximo Park, and early this year, Amy Winehouse, as well as numerous head-turning performances at SXSW where they warmed the hearts of music fans all over. Garnering praise from The Guardian (UK), Rolling Stone, Blender, and SPIN among others, the EP also produced a hit in the US with “Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me,” which reached 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Single Sales Chart.
With heartfelt enthusiasm and fierce attitude, The Pipettes create music that’s not to be confused as a sigh for the bygone era. Where the girls of yesteryear were happy to defer to the men in their lives - “He Hit Me (It Felt Like A Kiss)” by The Crystals, or “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” by The Shirelles, the Pipettes are clearly calling the shots - “One Night Stand” (I left You Alone/At four in the morning / not a stitch to wear/ because you ignored my warning) or “Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me” (Can’t You See We’re Through/Boy get out of my face!). An album drawing influence of the catchy pop-tunes of the past, but made with the musical creativeness of right-now, We Are The Pipettes is an ear-grabbing record of sparkling melodies, up-tempo beats, and undeniable talent.
