The Escaped started in early 2000. The Escaped ended in late 2005. Those five years brought several line up changes, several tours, records and countless stories. All the members of The Escaped had been though alot together, spent alot of time together and all became best friends and family. The Escaped was far more than a band, it was a way of life for these guys, they lived the lyrics they wrote, they loved to tour and be on the road and over all just loved spending time with eachother. We all had alot of fun over the last five years and so many memories that we will never forget. We put out four albums 1) Born To Lose, PNDN Records 2) Escaped Generation, Rodent Popsicle Records 3) Rose City Hardcore, Blackout! Records 4) The Escaped Ep, TKO! Records. The music changed quite a bit through all of those releases. However we are happy with everyone of them, our collective favorite being the TKO release. We played all over the country, several times and once even hit up Canada. We played legendary clubs such as CBGBs and Gilman St. We got to play the Wapred Tour in Cleveland. Through the years on non- stop touring we got to meet several of our musical idols, and made a ton of great friends, many of whom will remain close friends of ours forever.
So yes, its sad it is over, but the legacy The Escaped stamped across the country will forever remain. We may be gone but we will never be forgotten!!

Born amongst stagnation within the Portland, OR scene, The Escaped made their first
appearance during the winter of 2000. Combining a dual singer attack of old school hardcore
and punk rock done right with a work ethic rival to hardcore punks forefathers, The
Escaped quickly found acceptance from both the punk and hardcore scenes. Soon after
their inception, The Escaped recorded a full length CD called Born to Lose and a self titled
7 EP for local label In-Charge Records. Both albums sold out within a short amount of time.
Armed with their energetic performances, The Escaped attacked the road accomplishing
three U.S. tours, a Canadian tour, and countless west coast tours in support of their Rodent
Popsicle CD EP release, Escaped Generation. In between tours, The Escaped recorded a
CD for New Jersey based Blackout! Records entitled Rose City Hard Core and songs for
Hellcat Records compilation Give Em The Boot, Charged Records compilation Punks
Unite, and TKO Records split CD Portland Scene Report. The Escaped have been busy
touring the United States in support of Rose City Hard Core and writing new songs for
a split label release with TKO records and Longshot Records, as well as a song on TKO
records compilation Punch Drunk. The Escapeds future plans are to extensively tour
the world forever.
