   About The Angelic Process

Biography Formed in 1999 (with their debut issued in 2001), THE ANGELIC PROCESS have spent the last 8 years creating some of the most exciting and unique music ever heard. Pioneers and figureheads of the Ambient Drone Metal subgenre of extreme music, their influence can be found in numerous bands that have come of age in their wake. With a sound that fuses the layered guitar drone of MY BLOOD VALENTINE, the epic sound and tribal thump of NEUROSIS, the emotional bloodletting of JARBOE/SWANS, and complex, yet fluidly shifting time signatures, THE ANGELIC PROCESS have forged new musical ground and over the course of numerous on labels all over the world, have refined and defined a sound that one person described as "the sound my soul makes".

THE ANGELIC PROCESS live is no less as intense. Blasting noise, complex melodies, droning guitar resonance, rippling bass, tom-heavy tribal drums, and hauntingly emotional vocals collide to create violently ambient songs that have a definite shape and progression, but envelope the audience in warm, bombastic soundscapes.

Still playing WSWS frequently. It just takes me somewhere else, some viscous fog womb blurred with translucent infra-red bliss...Pure celestial violence, decimating beauty beyond comprehension with the weight of a black hole and the very same soul fracturing, cyclonic vastness of it's centre.

You have given me feathers and burnt them in front of me, I learned to fly across the ocean it is not the flesh but the spirit which must take the skies...And towards the red I have flown.

Thankyou for everything, I hope that you can heal and that this is not the last glimpse we will take at the worlds between the seams of reality.

Hey guys,

i'd like to think you might be getting it back together someday, but the feeling in the pit of my stomach says otherwise. This is a true tragedy.

Love your work, you will always be an influence.

This is a really sad news. Not only because you made music that touched me but most importantly because your problems comprise your hability to express yourself as a musician. And for this, I'm truly sorry for you. I hope you'll get better and continue to express your life to make yourself shine as much as when you played in the Angelic Process. Get well and be happy. That's all that matters.

VERY sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a speedy recovery and return to music ASAP. And - YOU WILL. One way of the other, YOU WILL. Deep inside you know this, don't even front. I mean, back in the nineties, there was this shred guitarist Jason Becker, who came down with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He could no longer use ANYTHING, but being a musician / addict, he continued on using computer recording. My point is, there is NO WAY a musician can just STOP. And you shouldn't. You're just going to find a new method of making music.

I will see you when you return!
K

Truly gutted about the news. I hope things get better for you. I don't know what else to say.
I will always enjoy your music.

I'm not really quite sure what to write ? I feel extremely sorry for both of you, I'm annoyed I won't ever get to see you guys live, I'm frustrated that there may never be another TAP album, but at the same time I'm really, really grateful that you guys were around long enough to bless us with a few totally mind boggling albums. Thanks so much for the epic sounds and just general awesomeness!! ..And I wished that I'd ordered that WADL EP when I'd had the chance :(

But anyway, again, thanks so much for what you guys have done, TAP totally changed what I thought music could do, and hopefully there may be a new album someday :)

How ya'all are?? How's the hand, K?

I wanted to drop a line and check up on ya'all.

I did finally obtain and absorb your newest album. It has been a crazy month or two since I picked it up; so, I hadn't had the chance to tell you how amazing and mindblowing it is. I can't wait til you are well and ready to hit the road again. I look forward to seeing the real deal in a live show someday.

Thank you for making beautiful chaotic noise that unsettles my very foundations.
