THE USED
No strangers to Australian shores, The Used are BIG favourites Down Under. In 2005, the band's first ever Australian show sold out in a matter of minutes. In response, the concert was upgraded to a larger venue and then sold out in just hours. The Used also headlined RTOC's first foray into the Australian market that same year, blasting their way through arenas across the country to a rapturous response from fans and critics alike. Their sold-out Australian tour this May will be similarly embraced as they play songs from their brilliant new album Lies For The Liars. The album has been hailed as the band’s best effort to date.
RISE AGAINST
Rise Against were invited to be a part of the inaugural RTOC in Australia in 2005, and proved to be one of the best bands on the bill as they whipped thousands into a frenzy. Punk rock at its finest, Rise Against never disappoint on stage, as evidenced by their run of sold out shows across Australia and New Zealand last December. Watch out RTOC, Rise Against are ready to ROCK!
AIDEN
These post-hardcore rockers certainly know how to put on a good show. Aurally and aesthetically, they have all bases covered. After their first Australian tour last December, Aiden left the country as heroes, leaving a host of rave reviews trailing in their wake. Blunt Magazine was thrilled with their live show. "They ripped out an hour of unrelentless rock, giving nobody the chance to stop for a breather… they perform as though this is the last show they’ll ever play." They'll be well-seasoned for the Australian and New Zealand leg of RTOC in 2007, so make sure you check them out!
THE BLED
If audience participation is your thing, then The Bled will be your band! This talented quintet will turn RTOC stages across Australia and New Zealand upside down with their high-octane live shows and thrilling onstage antics. Last November, whilst on tour in Australia, The Bled impressed all by stepping up from support band to headline act when the lead band’s singer lost his voice. For The Bled, the transition was seamless. With a new album in the works, and a live show as accomplished as The Bled's, this band will blow you away in October. Expect the unexpected!
GALLOWS
Invited to join the Vans Warped Tour in 2007, Gallows are fast becoming an integral punk band for the generation of today. Their unpredictability and pure hardcore fury are just two of the ingredients that will send crowds wild at RTOC this year. Kerrang! touted Gallows as "the world's most exciting new band" and they may just be the surprise packet of the Rockstar-- Taste Of Chaos Tour in 2007.

OMFG Melbourne ROCKED! The Used and Aiden were the best. The Bled and Drop Dead, Gorgeous also rocked, Gallows sucked! What he was saying when he got in the most was SO rude.
OMFG! TUESDAY NIGHT TOC WAS FUCKING AWSOME! WULDA BEEN BETTER IS I WAS IN THE CHAOS PIT THO.. OHWELL. STUPID SECURITY DUDES.. JUST SHULDA LET US ALL JUMP THERE WAS ROOM.
DOES ANY ONE KNO ALL THE NAMES OF THE BANDS THAT PLAYED ON THE SIDE STAGE??
Gallows destroyed every other band there in Melbourne. Circle pit with Frank!
Aiden were good to watch, but shit. The Used butchered all their old material. Rise Against were great, but didn't play enough older stuff. DDG were better than expected, but had horrible timing in a couple of their obviously newer songs. The Bled were good, from what I saw of them.
Next time, how about you leave ALL of the merch out until after evey band has stopped playing? I missed out...fuck!
hey there MELBOURNE TOC WAS IN-FUCKING-SANEEEE!! thanks so much for bringing it here yet again :) i actually came to ask.. there was a punk band playing on the side stage and i really liked them but i didn't get their name. the singer was wearing a green DD tshirt. can you help ? (:
