A pop group made up of four teenagers (Biff, Shelly, Bubbles and Clamhead) and one shark (Jabberjaw) who live in an underwater civilization in the year 2076. The Super Desserts travel to various underwater cities getting mixed up in all sorts of strange adventures, capers, and mysteries. They often encounter a diabolical mad scientist, spy, or criminal that wants to take over the world using some hi-tech device. The Super Desserts then find themselves in possession of the plans for an invention, an item of interest to the villains, a secret spy message, etc., and the villain then typically captures the band. The gang then breaks free, and proceeds to "disconboomerate" the device/lab and capture the bad guys.
