Emerging from a blend between contemporary metal and rock idioms, Stareblind kept its followers in amazement throughout their musical journey by tastefully merging raw power and twisted ambience. Rock solid rhythm section, bone crushing guitar riffs and lyrical vocal textures are at the forefront of their aesthetic, which developped outside the mainstream. "I think the variety of our musical influences eventually led the way to an original voice which somehow stands off the beaten paths" -explains frontman Manuel Guilbault.
After many memorable live performances in which they shared the stage with some major acts such as Liva or Vulgaires Machins, electric bassist Nico Simounet joined the formation to create a band with cohesion and like-mindedness, aspects which are directly reflected in their original sound. By headlining many events and striving for a disciplined approach to composing coupled with a dynamic live energy, they quickly earned respect among the Montreal underground music scene and its surroundings.
Their hard work paid off in summer ’05, when they recorded a first three song EP. The band performs in many venues in the Montreal area and is currently working on a first full album without compromise, aiming to meet the demand of their ever-growing fan base.
The first full-lenght album from stareblind is now confirmed to be recorded by outstanding producer/sound engineer Louis Martin from Studio Sanchez. His previous projects include the working with such bands as
FORTY BIRDS,
ILEANA, and
SIGN OF ONE.
The collaboration of
TANTRUMN’s kick-ass guitar player/producer Jiak D.P (ex-5 Line Legacy, ex-
Shadowed by Folly) is now confirmed. His indisputable skills will help mastermind this whole project with his groundbreaking and innovative approach to music.
